What is retinol?

Retinoids: a potential danger for pregnant women and children
Retinol is contraindicated for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as there is a risk (even if low) of effects on the development of the fetus or infant. Health authorities, especially in Europe, recommend avoiding any exposure to vitamin A in retinoid form during pregnancy.
Moreover, on the skin of children or adolescents, retinol can be too harsh and disrupt the natural balance of the epidermis.
